DESCRIPTION: The aecia are bright orange in colour with each individual cup having a somewhat paler frilly edge. SPORES: Aeciospores globose to sub-ovoid, yellowish-brown. Teliospores normally two-celled with caps formed by apical wall thickenings. Pedicels present. HABITAT: On stem and leaves of Meadow Rue. Telial stage on Rye. Also found on Wheat. SEASON: Occasional. May to August.
